Jiribam

Tehsil Jiribam, District Jiribam, Manipur, Bharat.

Jiribam is situated on the left bank of Jiri River. It is the largest in-habitat on Jiri River. National Highway 53 is the connecting road of this district town (head quarter of Imphal East district of Manipur ) with state capital Imphal and nearest town of Assam, Silchar. Jiribam is the home of Manipuri, Bengali, Nepali, Hmar, Kooki, Naga and many more sects of people. Population is 43, 838 (2011)
